When You Arrive at Primary Children's
The admitting office is located immediately inside the north entrance of the hospital on the right-hand side. The admitting clerk will complete any necessary paperwork. For recreational vehicle parking, contact the Security Department at (801) 662-1020.
Admission through the Emergency Department
Approximately half of the admissions to the hospital are unplanned. The decision to admit your child has been made after an evaluation in the Emergency Department, consultation with you and, in most cases, your personal physician. The Emergency Department stabilizes and monitors patients until admission to a patient room. Sometimes admission to the hospital can be delayed if all beds are occupied in the nursing units. We apologize to you if your family had a long wait.
When your child is stabilized, you may contact the business office at (801) 662-3800 to help with financial arrangements.
