Be a Super Sitter
Students will learn how to care for all ages of children, safety tips for indoor and outdoor play, and receive suggestions for appropriate games and activities based on growth and development of children. This is a great opportunity to help prepare kids for the responsibility of babysitting in a fun and energetic atmosphere.

- At Primary Children's: June 14, August 9, October 11
- At Riverton Community Center: May 17, July 12, September 13, November 15
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Who can register: Kids 11 years and olderTopics: Basic first aid, safety, poisons, care and handling of babies and children, discipline, and age-appropriate games and crafts. Each participant receives a tote bag babysitting kit along with a certificate of completion.Cost: $20

LiVe Healthy Habits for Kids Weight Management Program- Group Classes: You and your fmaily attend group classes with 15-20 other people, including kids and their families. A dietitian trained in weight management leads the class, which includes presentations, games, cooking demos, and other activities. You will participate in different physical activities during some classes.
When: Classes are taught Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Click here for a 2008 class schedule in pdf format

For: Children ages 5-18 and their families
Where: Primary Children's Medical Center and Riverton City Hall
Cost: $225 per family
To register: Call 801.662.5316 - Individual Counseling: You and your family attend sessions one on one with a dietitian. A dietitian trained in weight management evaluates your diet, physical activity, eating environment, and nutrition status. You schedule appointments at your pace. To complete the program, schedule 9 sessions in a 12-month period. You may attend the group physical activity classes if desired. Topics are personalized to your needs and lifestyle.
