Specialty Unit Visiting Hours
Visiting is encouraged between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Some specialty units have specific visiting policies (see below). If you need special consideration on visiting times, please feel free to ask.
To protect the privacy and confidentiality of patients, avoid standing and gathering in unit hallways. Phone calls requesting patient condition reports will be transferred to the patient's room, when appropriate.
SPECIALTY UNIT VISITING HOURS
Labor and Delivery
To reduce exposure and minimize infection risks, please restrict visits by children under age 14 who are not siblings of the new baby. Children should have an adult with them at all times. We respectfully request a maximum limit of two visitors during a patient's labor (not counting the primary support person).
Newborn ICU
Parents and grandparents may visit any time, except from 8-10 a.m. and 2:30-4 p.m.
Critical/Cardiac Care
One or two visitors may attend the patient's treatment discussion during daily rounds each weekday morning. Health care team members will be able to answer limited questions. Once needs and goals have been established for the day, the medical team will address your concerns. Overnight, in-room sleeping for one visitor is possible. We apologize that we cannot accommodate beds or cots in the rooms. Visitors are asked to wash their hands before entering and after leaving patient rooms.
Adult Psychiatry and Children and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit
Individuals may visit adult patients, 6-7 p.m. daily. Visiting hours for the Child and Adolescent Acute Psychiatric Unit are Tuesday and Thursday, from 6-7:30 p.m. There may be visiting criteria for patients. Please talk with staff to best accommodate the patient's needs.
